In late 2005, the NSADC's used the OSPD3–OSPD4 to update the Official Club and Tournament Word List. The new edition is known variously as OCTWL2, OWL2 or TWL2. This second edition of the OCTWL took effect on March 1st, 2006. The tournament word list is not available to the public in electronic form; it can be purchased in print from NSA Word Gear.
The complete list of words added in OCTWL2 was published in the SCRABBLE News newsletter, a subscription to which is included in NSA membership. It is not available in electronic form at this web site, for copyright and other reasons. The list of changes to OSPD4, the corresponding lexicon for school and home use, is freely available for download from our web site and may be of some use to tournament players as well.
A number of errors were discovered in OCTWL2 after electronic copies had been distributed and the paper edition was published.
Errata to the printed edition: CRABAPPLE (p. 98), CRABAPPLES (p. 98), DEVELOPPES (p. 118), GODDAMNDEST (p. 186), MUNCHABLES (p. 279) and VIREONINES (p.485) should be added to the printed edition; and CRABABBLE (p. 98), CRABABBLES (p. 98), GODAMNDEST (p. 186) and WEAPONEERED (p. 491) should be deleted.
